I grew up in Niagara-on-the-Lake and my mum still lives in town. Over the years, I feel like I have visited most hotels, restaurants and wineries in the area. I had never stayed at 124 on Queen though, so I decided to give it a try. I must say it is truly an exceptional hotel. From the moment I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with warm hospitality.
One of the highlights of this hotel is its amazing spa. The spa offers a variety of treatments, but what really caught my attention was the hydrotherapy circuit. It was not your typical circuit – it included Canada’s only snow room! This unique feature was both creative and interesting, and it added to the hydrotherapy experience.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the amenities they offered were plentiful and varied. From plush robes to high-end shampoos, slippers, Nespresso coffee and even a 5pm amuse-bouche there were lots of little extras that came with the room. Our room was a King suite that came with a full kitchen (pictured below), powder room and living area.

Location-wise, 124 on Queen couldn’t be better. It is situated right on the main street of town, making it convenient to explore the charming shops, restaurants, and attractions of Niagara-on-the-Lake. I loved being able to step out of the hotel and be in the heart of town, right beside Starbucks. It was really cool to look out my window and be able to see my childhood home, too!
124 Queen has a small dining room that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious dinner during my stay, and it was very tasty. Our package came with breakfast at Treadwell (next door) and the Lobster Benedict may have been the best of my life! Since the hotel is on the main street, you are walking distance to tons of other restaurants, so if you are staying a few nights it is easy to get out and explore the town’s different establishments.

Another great feature of this hotel is its underground parking. It provided peace of mind knowing that my car was safely parked and easily accessible whenever I needed it.
Last but not least, the service at 124 Queen was perfection. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the moment I checked in until the moment I checked out, I was treated with the utmost professionalism and care.
Considering all of these exceptional features, I found 124 Queen to be a good value. It offers a luxurious experience for anyone wanting to get away to the “prettiest town in Canada”. They offer a variety of packages, and ours includes a complimentary spa treatment, wine tasting and breakfast. 124 Queen is, in my opinion, the very best hotel in town.
